Norma L. Couch

Gas City – Norma L. Couch, 88, died Tuesday, February 12, 2013, in her residence. She was born in Marion, Indiana on August 17, 1924 to the late William and Cleo (Booher) Compton. Norma married Carl William Couch on November 28, 1944 and he preceded her in death on January 22, 2002. Norma was a homemaker and had previously worked at Harvey's Drive-In, and Farnsworth Radio, both of Marion. She attended the First United Methodist Church of Gas City. She enjoyed puzzles, crosswords, flower gardens, and watching Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy, and CNN. Her children and grandchildren where her life and she loved her Jack Russell Terrier, Brandi.
Survivors include her sons, Larry (Rose) Couch, Gas City, Randy (Robin) Couch, Decatur; daughters, Wanda Hickman, Siloam Springs, AR, Carla Daugherty, Bloomfield; 16 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Barb Couch, Fairmount; and sister-in-law, Mary Hurst, Goshen.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Cleo Couch; husband, Carl William Couch; son, Gary Couch; son-in-law, Tom Hickman; twin sister, Betty Compton; brothers, Bill, Herman, Barney, and Neil Glen Compton; sisters, Juanita Knipp, Janet Peterson, Naomi "Pat" Compton; brothers-in-law, Clifford (Adaline) Couch, Clayton (Dorothy) Couch, George Hurst; and sisters-in-law, Vivian (Eldon) Swift and Effie Belle (Max) Pattison.
Visitation will be from 11:30 am – 1:30 pm on Friday, February 15, 2013 at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main Street, Gas City, Indiana.
Funeral Service will be at 1:30 pm on Friday, February 15, 2013 at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main Street, Gas City, Indiana with Reverend Doug Davies officiating. Burial will be in Gardens of Memory, Huntington County, Indiana.
