Scooby Lawson

Scooby Lawson died peacefully on March 21, 2019 surrounded by his loving family.  He was born on April 6, 2005 to Cranky Harry and Prairie Creeks Marlene in Marion.

Scooby, also lovingly referred to as “Scoobert,” “Rooby,” and “Rubiford” was brought home in May of 2005 as a fur baby to his sister, Jaycee who was 5 years old at the time.  Scooby was named after her favorite cartoon character and has been the perfect pet and best friend for the last 15 years.

There was never a doubt when there was a visitor as Scooby let it be known.  He protected his family and loved them dearly, greeting them with excitement every time they arrived home and providing comfort when he knew something was wrong.  The sight of a blanket brought him joy as he knew that meant snuggle time with one of his human’s.  He loved Frosty Paws and especially loved to have his ears and belly rubbed and he let you know you he wasn’t ready for you to be done with his pitiful little whine and pouty eyes.  He could sit and roll over for treats and knew how to get his way with those beautiful dark brown eyes.

In the last year, it was evident that Scooby was not feeling well as he became touchy and began to growl at the one’s he loved.  His health rapidly declined at the end.  He was loved and well cared for by the wonderful staff at Pipecreek Animal Clinic.

Scooby is greatly missed by his human parents; Tom and Lori, his big sister; Jaycee (Jaren) and grandparents; Jay and Berta, whom he always loved to see come for a visit.

Arrangements were entrusted to Paws & Remember, a division of Neehdam-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service.
